Art from Inside is an annual competition and exhibition encouraging creative expression from current and former inmates. The Art from Inside program is pursued in many countries around the world and is celebrated globally as an international competition and exhibition every 4 years at the Prison Fellowship World Convocation.
"Living Hope"
Each year, Inmates and ex-inmates are invited to participate in this exhibition by producing artworks according to a given theme. This year's theme is Living Hope.
The competition has three categories: Painting, Drawing, and Applied Art, with works in each category judged on artistic merit and depiction of theme. The first, second and third placing for each category receives a prize; and every entry is acknowledged with a certificate of participation, commendation, high commendation or placement. Winning artworks are entered into the Art from Inside national competition, which may earn the artists further prizes.
Prison Fellowship facilitates the sale of artworks on behalf of the exhibiting artists and does not keep any portion of the sales funds.
