Bringing Hope
Prison Fellowship volunteers enter prisons each week visiting hundreds of prisoners needing help of a practical kind in the first instance and on Sundays take teams of Christians who help build up the ‘Church on the Inside’.
Call PF-SA office for your copy of the "Changing Lives on the Inside" DVD (6 mins)

‘I was in prison and you visited Me’...  - Matthew 25: 47

What in-prison Prison Fellowship accredited volunteers do:

    • Visit prisoners on a regular basis
    • Respond to prisoner’s practical needs
    • Respond to prison officer and social worker requests for assistance
    • Become a trusted confidant
    • Build bridges of friendship
    • Tell prisoners about activities for their children
    • Work alongside Chaplains and other ministries
    • Give direct help to prisoners and their families

The Australian prison population doubles every 10 years. Six out of 10 inmates released are likely to re-offend within two years. 15% of those sentenced are homeless. The percentage doubles to 30% homelessness upon release.

Teams of volunteers visit Adelaide Remand Centre and Yatala Labour Prison on a weekly basis following them through the system to Mobilong and Cadell and into the community upon request.
