Second Chances
This Friday (22nd Oct) will be the 4th Anniversary Celebration for Second Chances Op Shop.  If you or your friends like shopping for a bargain SCOS this Friday is the place to go.  From 12 mid-day, there will be a free sausage sizzle and other surprises.
Join us and show your appreciation to Di and Alan and the team who faithfully keep the shop opened five days a week to support the many programs for the children of prisoners.

We are here !!
Many of us have been given a 'second chance' in life.  A second chance to put things right with God and man and move forward.

We also believe any saleable unwanted goods can have a 'second chance' at our Second Chances Op Shop.
Situated in Sturt on 397 Diagonal Road the Second Chances Op Shop receives donations of clothes, shoes, CD’s, bric-a-brac, electrical goods and furniture.
It provides vital ongoing funding for our work.
Collection of goods can be arranged by calling Alan on 0410665858 or Dianne at the Shop on 8296 5588.

Transport Van
Thanks to Community Benefit SA we own a Mitsubitshi people mover which transports furniture and saleable items to and from Second Chances Op Shop (SCOS). Alan Whyte collects and delivers in all weather. Sally Graham can also transport children to Camps for Kids and events for kids. We are so grateful.

Containing Volunteers
Some charities house their volunteers but we maintain, retain and ‘contain’ SCOS volunteers. With a City of Marion community grant we bought a refrigerated container; keeping valuable volunteers cool in summer and warm in winter. Shop Manager Di Whyte and Karin Koulianos sort and price donations

Tested and Tagged
Many Op Shops no longer sell electrical items but SCOS does thanks to electrician Peter Hill. We sell electrical items only because Peter tests and tags each one before sale ensuring their safety. If you need an electrician support Peter because he supports us. Call Tested and True Mobile: 0407605568

Second Chances Op Shop celebrated its third Anniversary by giving a free BBQ Sausage sizzle to the local community who support the shop so regularly. Shoppers were serenaded by a classical guitarist while being lured out by wafting culinary aromas. The aim this year is to exceed a net profit of $30K. Incentives are given to frequent customers.

‘This shop is never the same. Each time I come here it has a fresh new look and the volunteers are always happy. I love coming here.’ (regular customer)
